Association of Residential Cleaning Professionals International There is desire to belong inside each one us. That feeling is channeled in many different directions in life. For many of us, we have our favorite sports team we follow, for others it’s our place of worship, and in business it’s the association.

We recently have joined with ARCSI, the Association Residential Cleaning Professional Services International. ARCSI is a deep well of knowledge for any and all professional housecleaning business owners. The association is a member-driven assoc. and many of its members are seasoned veterans.
A Helping Hand has been an active member since being a member last fall. We recently were awarded a 2007 Professional Image Award for Best Logo. (click link, then scroll down website for picture.)

Please continue to check for more in the future about A Helping Hand and ARCSI. You will be hearing more about both.

Information vs. Education

Filed under: Uncategorized — ahelpinghand @ 9:35 pm

When you are approached by a business owner do they just “give you the facts”? Do they tell you they are the best at their business or do they show they are the best.

 Here’s what I mean…

A Helping Hand began in spring of ‘06 with five clients in the first two months of business. Today, we  have over five dozen clients in five communities in the surrounding Madison area including the west side of Madison and downtown. How did we do this in such a shirt amount of time? By educating you, our clients. We always do a First-Time cleaning and during that cleaning I, Scott Kindberg, come and clean with our team to answer any questions you may have and to orient our staff to your home. This is to ensures and educates you that our company committed to you for a longterm relationship.

A Helping Hand is committed to educating our clients not just informing you. Let us know how we are doing we can be reached at scott@madisonhousecleaning.net or leave a comment at the end of this post.

Celebrate the Little Things.

Filed under: a helping hand — ahelpinghand @ 3:55 am

Celebrate the Little Things Recently, while cleaning in a client’s home he asked me if I had a moment to listen to a story. I thought to myself for a moment, don’t you know that I am busy. What he began to say was priceless.

Last year his children had a bus driver who was verbally rude, would play explicit rap music during bus routes and threaten to stop the bus if the acted up. This bus driver was later reprimanded for his actions. Now, fast forward to this school year.

This year the kids receive a new bus driver. He is a retired gentleman who decides ahead of time to mail out letters to all the children introducing him. In the letter, he includes a Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG bracelet and Culvers gift card for each of the kids in his route. In addition, he personally meets the parents before the school year began. What an extreme contradiction in care. What is life about…it’s the little things. Celebrate them.

Then gently rub a protein hair shampoo or a liquid enzyme detergent, such as Era, into the stain and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Soak 12 hours in soapy water. Rinse well. Don’t twist or pull.
